CleanShot – Duplicate Photo Cleaner

Effective date: June 1, 2026

      The short version: CleanShot works entirely on your device. Your photos never leave your iPhone, and we do not collect, store, or share any personal data.
    

1. Information We Do Not Collect

CleanShot does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. Specifically:

We do not access your photos outside of the app session.
We do not upload photos, thumbnails, or metadata to any server.
We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting services that share data with third parties.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personal identifiers.

2. Photo Library Access

CleanShot requests access to your photo library solely to scan for duplicate, similar, and low-quality photos on your device. This access is used only while the app is open and active.

All scanning and analysis (including AI quality scoring) runs locally using on-device machine learning — no image data is sent over the network.
Photo deletion is performed through Apple's Photos framework. The system always asks for your confirmation before any photo is permanently removed.
You can revoke photo library access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

3. On-Device Processing

All operations performed by CleanShot — including duplicate detection, similarity comparison, and aesthetic/technical quality scoring — are computed entirely on your device using Apple's CoreML and Vision frameworks. No data is sent to external servers or third-party services.

4. Purchases

In-app purchases are handled exclusively through Apple's App Store and StoreKit framework. We do not process or store any payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how purchase transactions are handled.

5. Children's Privacy

CleanShot does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app contains no features that target or identify children.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
